Yorkmead Primary School Team Challenge

 

On Wednesday 13th June, a fantastic team of 20 volunteers from Janssen UK carried out a team challenge at Yorkmead Primary School who work with Grow to Learn CIC. The event was organised by BVSC, a Birmingham voluntary services organisation.  The team transformed a space at the side of the school that had unfortunately become disused, due to problems with the area for growing plants and vegetables. Their aim was to create an area that was easier to maintain, accessible for the pupils and provide an additional outdoor learning area. 

We are thrilled with the results and would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Stephanie at BVSC and all the Volunteers from Janssen - you were all amazing.

The School Council have already had a meeting in the new area and are talking to their classes about how they would like to use the area on a daily basis. If you would like to see the area for yourself, just walk along the outside of the school on Russell Road.
